Keith, a favourite client, has an eyewear collection that rivals any of our personal ones. His newest addition is this fabulous Mosaico. We love this new shape on Keith, the frames balance to his features; and the great colours. The frame is a mosaic of tortoise, taupe and green - all looking colour perfect on his overall colouring. Judy lights up in this Jeune Lion frame. We love everything about this frame on her. The angles and curves are perfect, and have been thoughtfully designed for a woman's face. While here visiting her family, Francesca came to us for new glasses. A contact lens wearer, it was time to update her eyewear to her most current Rx, and to get a frame she would actually wear. She selected this fabulous, slightly chunky Jamie Ex. We love the bold structure of this model on her, and how it's in perfect balance to her features. And we really love how beautiful this green is on her. It adds contrast to her colouring, as well as vibrancy. Loving your glasses, and feeling they are representative of who you are is paramount in the selection process. They become part of your identity and wearing them should inspire your confidence. We think Francesca looks sensational in these, and that she will put them into her eye care rotation frequently.

A favourite and fearless client, Anne adds this brilliantly designed, unique piece from to her growing collection. Never one to pull back from colour, or a frame that might be considered 'too much'; Anne said yesterday
"if you're going to wear glasses, then wear them like you mean it!!!' And she does, and she always looks amazing! We love the fit of the Catena on her. The shape and size are in perfect proportion to her features, and the colour! The colour with her soft grey green eyes is simply outstanding.

Kerry adds two new pairs of glasses to her current collection, and she looks sensational in both. The Lazaro in these softly marbled water colours are just so pretty on her. They flatter her complexion and draw you to her beautiful eyes. The oversized, sharply angled square shape is a great contrast to her feminine features, and looks totally balanced and contemporary. The iconic sunglass, the Audrey, was designed in the 1960s as a tribute to Audrey Hepburn. OG designed several pairs of sunnies for her to be worn in films like Charade, Two for the Road and Breakfast at Tiffany's; and they have kept many of these enduring models in their Icon Collection. Another fabulous oversized look for Kerry, and one that we think is the epitome of cool!!

It’s been a long way from rimless glasses to these. We became Allison’s optical store years ago after solving some visual challenges she had struggled with. From there to now it has been a journey to select frames that actually reflect who she is. And here we are. In this fabulous , in this honey tortoise and teal - we see the lively, vibrant Allison we have come to know. Looking every bit like herself, just elevated. The weight and architecture of this new model is just right for her petite features, and the addition of colour adds definition and soft contrast, totally enhancing everything about her. Beautiful!!

Chic! Kelly selected this beautiful Cazal and we think she looks sensational. One of my favourite frames from the Cazal reboot, and it shows us why this manufacturer has earned its place in our industry. An elegantly designed, modern cat’s eye, with a perfect brow arch. This frame has just the right amount of volume in the upper, outer corners, and just the right amount of visual lift as it angles up from the cheekbones. The Cazal signature metal is embedded in the temple adding brightness and exquisiteness. The rich green is colour perfection on Kelly. The contrast with her overall colouring is ideal; and the transition lenses make them extra functional. Modern femininity- fabulous and strong.

Shela looks radiant in her eyewear update. This frame is the perfect accessory for her lovely face. The colours and textures in this model are so alluring you need to get closer and closer - then you see Shela's gorgeous eyes, enhanced by these marbled greens and iridescent mosaic. Against her complexion, and contrasted with her hair and winning smile - pure perfection. This modern cat's eye lifts and flatters in all the best ways.

This weekend we get to celebrate our glorious province in all of it’s beauty. Rain or shine there is much to see and do. Whether you explore our coastline, visit a museum, or have a bbq with friends - It’s the B.C.Day holiday to enjoy. Highland Optical will be closed this Saturday, August 1st, and remain closed until Tuesday morning, August 4th, for business as usual. Happy holiday weekend everyone! Alexa in her new Tampo. I doubt that these could be lovelier on this pretty woman. The sheer violet colour is perfection with her rosy complexion, and is the best complement to enhance her green eyes. The slightly oversized shape adds modernity and style; while the visual weight of the frame remains quite delicate, taking nothing away from Alexa’s features. Youthful, stylish and oh so flattering.
