A lot of the items we receive cannot be sold online, and we make it a priority that this excess clothing is donated directly to those in need! Safety Net is an amazing organization that gives people direct access to clothing for free. An additional step that keeps clothing out of landfills while helping those in our community!

We are the environmental option when it comes to clothing donation!

Did you know, Canadians on average purchase 70 new articles of clothing a year and that contributes to the 12 million tons a year of textile waste dumped into North America's landfills.

In Oakville alone, The Salvation Army accepts over 90 tonnes of clothing per week, and on average, only 25% of that will sell. Most of it will eventually end up in a landfill.

With Eco Clothing Pick Up, the clothing that we collect gets distributed to online sellers first, before being donated to a traditional thrift store. This makes secondhand shopping more widely accessible for online shoppers, and encourages people to shop secondhand rather than fast fashion.

Our goal is to extend the life of used clothing items to keep them out of landfills, and in turn, lower the demand for producing new clothing.

In an effort to also help out our community, all unsold donations will be given directly to those in need!
