Our community is experiencing a very heavy time with several tragic losses. Our hearts are with everyone who is grieving, hurting, or trying to support someone they love right now. Please remember that you don’t have to go through these things alone. There are people who care deeply and who are ready to listen and help.
If you or someone you know needs support, here are some resources available in our area and across BC:
• Call or text 988 — Crisis Services Canada (available 24/7 across Canada).
• 310-6789 (no area code needed in BC) — Emotional support and mental health help line through Interior Health.
• BC Crisis Line — 1-800-784-2433
If you’re grieving, struggling, or just need someone to talk to, please reach out to a family member, friend or support resource. Checking in on each other, talking, and asking for help can make a difference during times like this. Thank you to the first responders and the many professionals who have shown up with the utmost care & compassion. Our community is strong, and we will continue to support one another through this. 🤍
If anyone knows of additional local grief supports or groups in the Cariboo, please feel free to share them here for others who may need them.
