Most dog owners don’t realise their kit is actually making their sessions and walks harder. And here’s why
1. Movement restriction
Standard cheap jackets are cut for standing still. Not for crouching down, throwing a ball, clipping leads or storing wet soggy balls. Some training sessions can be fast moving and your gear needs to be able to handle that without getting in the way
2. Soaks through or traps heat..
Dog owners are out in all weather, every single day. You need waterproof and you need breathable. You’re either drenched from the outside or boiling hot and drenched from the inside.. You need products that will keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, whilst keeping the same features for training
3. Pockets in the wrong place
Treats, leads, poo bags, phone, keys.. dog owners carry more than most people on their daily outings. If you’re digging around mid session or switching hands to get into a pocket, your kit is breaking your flow and your dogs progress is suffering because of it
It wasn’t designed for dog owners
Hiking jackets, running jackets, outdoor jackets.. None of them are built around what you actually do - constant movement, unpredictable weather, hands that are never free, and sessions that don’t stop when conditions change
