Wardrobe building 101

This is what you need when you're heading into the office but you don't really need a full wardrobe of work clothes anymore.

You start with your pants. One fun pair and one straight pair.

Now, fun could be whatever you want it to be. I like these lantern pants but it could also be a wide leg.

3 tops. All of these ones mix and match from Compli K and a dress.

That's all you really need.

Maybe a few accessories to make them feel a bit more exciting.

MADE IN CANADA
Great pieces for work and a lot of our ladies are still at work.

We've been asked for a few work outfits now, so much so that we have a new blog on the web about what to wear to work when you're over 50.

The mesh top I'm wearing I wouldn't wear to an office but I think someone younger might? I don't know, you'll have to tell me.

But Skippy's Iris top is great, doesn't wrinkle. Lots of stretch and just an easy one to grab and go to the office.

We really do have fun with these videos, but there's a lot that goes into them! But we also aren’t here taking ourselves too seriously. I'm not going to be some movie star at 72 but I do want to share a bit about what goes on her at the shop.

You should have seen Les last week with the Skippy is going Cool video. She could NOT stop laughing, but that's the point!

So if you ever have any ideas or things you want to see from us let us know.

Skippy is looking for a new hat.

We have tons of great ones to choose from and some of them even come in different sizes depending on your head size.

Kind of a strange sentence but here we are!

It's getting chilly and this is one accessory you're not going to want to skip!

Brown is EVERYWHERE this season and we're seeing it in the shop too.

It's just about finding the brown that works well for you.

You can always layer with a blouse or hickey hider under to give it a little pop.

Our main thing is always to make sure you're comfortable! So we don't do itchy. That's my rule. I won't wear it if it's itchy.

Cool means something different to everyone.

If a leisure suit doesn’t feel like you, don't try and force it.

You can do cool with a little animal print, with a little mixed aesthetic.

But really what it comes down to is that you feel good in it, you're standing a bit taller and you've got a strut to you!

If you want to cut the crotch out of your pantyhose you absolutely can.

But you could also just pick up a Sleevey Wonder for the same look and will last longer.

The Sleevey goes under your sleeveless blouses to give you a little more coverage. They come in white and black at the moment, we did have navy so we could get that again.

And sizes XS-3X

They also come in a jersey! Which is a great way to get a few more wears out of your summer tops.
