Do you consider any portion of your income "disposable"??

I think we need to reframe this idea because thinking a portion of your income can be disposed of as waste- something that contains no value- on hobbies, interests, entertainment, things that bring you joy, improve your metal health or connect you to community all have immense value and I do not think we should be framing it as "disposable" all these things are necessary to our well-being.

When we frame this extra-non survival(food shelter etc) income as "disposable" it makes it easier for us to spend it on manufactured obsolescence. It makes it easier for us to throw away what we buy in order to continue to consume. It makes garbage people who make and sell garbage more money. A capitalists wet dream.

I'm going to start calling it "wellness" or "self improvement" or "spirit sustenance" income.

In all seriousness - Do you consider any portion of your income "disposable"??

I'm going to try these cellophane baggies in between pages while they dry so that they don't stick together and rip the content.
