These are some skeins of my luxury yarn base: alpaca/silk/cashmere. I carry this yarn in both fi*****ng weight and DK and it is a gorgeous soft yarn that is heavenly next to the skin.

Oftentimes just a squish at my booth sells skeins because it makes your hands happy 🥰🥰

Im adding a new basket of worsted minis at my next show: the in Sept 🥰

They are 50g approx 105yds each and are a 4-ply 100% superwash fine merino. This yarn has a gorgeous sheen and creates super squishy bouncy fabric! I will have a shawl and a hat sample on hand so you can see how it knits up.

I shared some of my alpaca linen silk fi*****ng weight yarn as gradient sets the other day. 🥰

This is the yarn that I proudly refer to as my Perimenopause yarn! Lol There are days I can't even consider wool 🥵😅

Here are some full skeins that have recently come out of the dye pots!

Two skeins is enough to make a short sleeved shirt, like my two samples that I have included here. (Note that my gradient sets are also equal to 2 skeins)

Both the Floodlight tee and the Willa Tee were created with two skeins (plus some fluffy suri silk lace in the yoke of the Floodlight). Both samples fit a 46" bust and both have been worn numerous times. In the case of the blue Willa tee that I made, I had around 1/4 of a skein leftover.

This fi*****ng weight yarn is lovely to work with, softening as it is worked and creating a lovely drapey fabric. The linen and silk work to diminish the alpaca stretch and it creates garments that are cool and comfortable to wear.

A lovely option if youre looking for something different, need a lighter fabric due to, you know, 🥵🥵, or if you just want to make a lighter garment to use as a layer ❤️

It's getting pretty exciting in the Stitch Noir studio!

I have run out of my regular 30g and 50g sock yarn mini skeins that I used to make gradients, and after this Thursday I only have a couple of days in the studio before the Almonte fiberfest because I'll be working out of town.

So instead of getting an order for more yarn, I'm going through my undyed stock and discovering loads of minis in different bases, colour coding them with ties and making gradient sets out of them!

What this means is you can expect gradient sets in all sorts of bases at the . Here are some of the ones I have discovered so far!

🧶 3-ply fi*****ng 80% superwash BFL 20% nylon - Many say that Blue Faced Leicester wool stands up better to wear due to its long staple and slightly higher Micron count. Still next to skin soft and good for all sorts of garments! Especially socks!

🧶 4-ply fi*****ng superwash 75% fine merino 25% nylon - A rounder stronger sock yarn with more stitch definition than my typical 3-ply sock yarn. Great for all sorts of clothing and accessories!

🧶 3-ply fi*****ng superwash 70% merino 20% natural yak 10%Tussah Silk - A lovely blend offering stitch definition and a soft next-to-skin base. The yak adds warmth and a softness, while the silk adds strength, drape and a gentle sheen. Great for lightweight tops, shawls scarves.

🧶 Single ply superwash 100% merino wool - has a beautiful stitch definition! Great for hats, scarves, shawls.

Really looking forward to the show! Going to have so many new yarns and colours in stock!

A little bit of subtlety on my fi*****ng weight alpaca cashmere silk. These are four one of a kind skeins and as I type this, I realize that I dont remember what I called them. 😅

Regardless, they were an experimental dye on skeins made with naturally dark alpaca which darkened all the applied colours. I love how they're so moody but still vibrant and playful 💜

Strange Brew was a speckled colourway that I created many moons ago.

I have always loved it so I decided to take the colours involved and apply them in a more colourful saturated way...here is the new iteration on sock yarn, marled sock and worsted.

The new process allows the colors to mix in a more uncontrolled fashion which means that every batch will evolve and look a little bit different....but that lives up to the name I feel 😁🥰

New repeatable gradient:
🪵🍂Into the Woods 🪵🍂

Those who know me, know that I don't create a lot of pastels or a lot of neutral tones. Brown shades sometimes appear but they are specifically chosen for a mood or for a moment.

That was the case with this gradient, which is repeatable!

🍄🌰🐿️🍂🪵 Into the Woods was created on a moody morning where the breeze promised crisp autumn days to come and the smell of petrichor was in the air. It was a morning to go crashing Into the Wood, hunting for mushrooms and avoiding faery rings. 🍄🌰🐿️🍂🪵
