What do you do with your wedding dress AFTER the wedding? 👀

If you’re not planning on keeping it forever, there are ways to give your gown a whole new life! Here are a few Ottawa-area options to look into

NKIN: We accept vintage wedding dress donations (30+ years old) send us photos and any details you have.

NKIN: We consider eligible newer gowns purchased within the last 3 years as donations. Please reach out with photos and details before dropping anything off and make sure they are professionally cleaned.

The Brides’ Project: Donate eligible wedding dresses to help support cancer-related charities. Check their current donation requirements before sending your gown.

Fairy Godmother Ottawa: A great organization to contact about donating eligible formalwear to help local students feel amazing for prom.

Heirloom Keepsakes or Angel gown initiatives: At NKIN we can help turn your gown into a sentimental heirloom keepsake. You can also look into angel gown initiatives that transform tiny gowns for families experiencing infant loss.

Not ready to part with it? Totally fair! Have your gown professionally cleaned and look into preservation until you’re ready to decide. We can do that in store at NKIN.

Bridal Consignment: Have an unworn wedding dress? Send us an email with your gown details and photos to see if we can sell it for you.

If you don’t find your dress with us… we don’t hate you. 💗

Seriously, we want every bride and nearlywed to find something they feel beautiful in. And sometimes, that dress just isn’t at our store. That’s totally okay! We still had the best time shopping with you, and we cannot WAIT to see what you end up choosing.

BUT this is also your reminder to come with an open mind and be ready to say YES! Sometimes you find your dress way sooner than you ever expected. And trust us, it’s a whole lot harder when you find THE ONE but someone important isn’t there to celebrate with you, or you miss out on the dress because you weren’t ready to make the decision.

Come prepared, bring your people, and give yourself permission to say yes when it feels right. We’re always rooting for you, even if your dress isn’t with us.
