Last week, HLS was represented at the TRSA Healthcare Conference, bringing together healthcare laundry professionals to exchange ideas, share insights, and discuss the future of our industry.

A highlight of the conference was our CEO, Rocco Romeo, joining Randy Bartsch of Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service and Dave Stern for the closing CEO panel, “What Comes Next? Healthcare Laundry Leaders on the Industry’s Future,” moderated by TRSA President & CEO Joseph Ricci.

The discussion explored the challenges, opportunities, and evolving landscape of healthcare laundry services.

The impact of reusable gowns goes far beyond reducing waste.

The 60,000 reusable isolation gowns shown here represent the equivalent use of 4.5 million disposable gowns. Storing that volume of disposables would require 75x the warehousing space.

For healthcare organizations, choosing reusable textiles can mean a smaller storage footprint, less reliance on large volumes of single-use inventory, less waste, and a more efficient textile supply system overall.

And that’s just one of the ways a reusable textile program with HLS can create value beyond the laundry room.
