Level Six is a Canadian company created by two friends competing on the Whitewater Slalom World Cup circuit. Their vision was to redesign and rethink how paddling gear is made. Level Six started out from a very humble beginning in the back of a van selling shorts and t-shirts to paddlers along World Cup circuit stops. Since those early days, we have grown to be the leader in water sports apparel a

nd equipment. At Level Six, we do our part to contribute to waterway conservation across the globe in order to keep waterways clean and open to all who love being on the water now, and in the future. We strive to build and support communities everywhere to spread the joy that life on the water brings us. Our mission is to provide all those who love life on the water with a passion and confidence in the gear they are using. Thanks to our design team, Level Six is always evolving and improving upon products to reflect the needs of people who are drawn to the water. After 20 years, that vision those two friends had to build a brand for people who live to be on the water has grown into a phenomenon that speaks to people all over the world. See you on the water.

In the fall of 2024, we launched a survey to get a better idea of how the fit of our women's dry suit was before we finalized our new design and also to get more data to support the fit. This launched a fundamental redesign of our fit and completely changed how we viewed our women's dy suit.

We are incredibly proud of our Exhaust Pro fabric, but of all the designs we have done over the past few years, this is by far the project that is most near and dear to our hearts.

We were the first paddle sports company to eliminate plastic packaging, the first to use recycled fabrics in our dry wear, and the first to eliminate PFAS from our waterproof breathable fabrics. Now we are the first paddle sports company to completely and from the ground up redesign our fabrics around being PFAS-free.

During that time, we have heard it all when it comes to the narrative that sustainable means a performance trade-off. We are here to tell you that Exhaust Pro and Exhaust Lite were designed not only to beat that, but to be better than the non-sustainable alternative.

TLDR: If you care about where you paddle, you do not have to compromise

Shout out to BOSS KAYAK for facilitating such a sweet event with something for everyone. Boating from class 2-3 and up, everything from packrafts to kayaks, athletes putting on an absolute SHOW, and one hell of a conga line. Put all that in the Italian Alps, and how can you not love it?!

Making A Fabric That Doesn't Kill You

This is Part 1 of a three-part series of videos describing the fabric and a look behind the products, the thoughts of the staff who helped bring them to life, and what it means to them.

We are nothing without our staff, and also nothing without all the athletes and ambassadors who have stuck with us through thick and thin. Also, those who put in long hours testing iterations of this fabric. This was actually filmed and edited by one of our testing athletes, Casey Bryant Jones, who put in long hours bringing this vision to life. He went far above and beyond what we would expect from any athlete, and he is not the only one.

The new Freya: By women, for women 🤝

We are so fortunate to have had an all-women design team who also worked on this project. This team was on another level on this one, and we could not be more thankful to have designers who are so dialled in on their craft.

The Freya in Exhaust Pro is truly a passion project by women for women. We will keep pushing out more info about it (sue us, we are excited), but the best way to learn more is heading to your local retailer and trying one on.

Exhaust Pro is Level Six's brand-new waterproof and breathable fabric. Made from 100% recycled and PFAS-Free materials. It also has a two-way stretch for improved mobility and a hydrophilic membrane that boosts real-world breathability.

Lab Specs:
- 6,000 g/m²/24h breathability (50% more than the previous generation)
- 33,000 mm waterproof rating (120% more than the previous generation)

After years of design and community feedback, we are finally ready to launch. To all the women who filled out our design survey and to all the women who independently gave us feedback, thank you. It was an incredibly humbling process, but we are better for it.

Exhaust Pro suits are here! The new Odin and Freya drysuits in Exhaust Pro are the most comprehensive redesigns in Level Six's history. New seam tape, new glue, fewer seams for less failure points, brand new fit, more range of motion across sizes, more durable gaskets, more style (how could we not), and an award-winning fabric to bring it all together.⁠

Our team has worked tirelessly on this project, but we have to give a huge shout-out to our ambassadors. Many have been involved in this project from start to finish and have been taking prototypes to their limits in the push for perfection. Without them, we would not be where we are today.
