Hello! I hope y’all are staying safe and being kind. ❤️😷 I’m still only accepting new items for alterations🧵 for safety reasons due to Covid 19. (Textiles can hold the virus) (message on my Margie's Sewing page for alterations please) My studio remains safe and clean! 🧼
**As many of you know I am a professional Fashion Designer 👩‍🎨 and Fibre Artist 👩‍🎤. I have a BSc. from The fashion Institute of technology – FIT New York City. Woot!

**Now I also offer personalized Online Lessons through Zoom, Facebook Live, etc. to help you learn how to do your own alterations (or other projects)!! PM me for more info and to discuss.
**Need wardrobe help? I can do some online consults with you. 😊 Perhaps some upcycling/re-designing of pieces 👗 you already own is in order?!!
**I also offer private online classes in mojo-boosting creativity and confidence building mentoring for textile art and design for adults and children.
**As an experienced online homeschooling mentor (8 years experience with Self Design), and homeschooling mom, I really enjoy working with children (and have done many online sewing 🧵 lessons since Covid)! If your child needs more connection and would benefit from exploring their own creativity (a therapeutic tool as well as fun!), I’m your mentor!! (I’m still FB friends with many young adults whom I mentored in their pre-teen year’s. 🙂 Some of whom have become full fledged talented and accomplished artists in their field!!!)

I am a professional fashion designer, and fibre artist, and I'm getting ready to teach a series of kid's classes in my studio. They are small group classes with a maximum of 4-5 learners per class.

I love to work with children who have a passion for creating things with their hands - specifically with textiles - fabric, yarn, thread, raw fibre, and notions.

The focus is on the process of creativity, and the exploration of a variety of mediums like stitchery, weaving, knitting, crochet, felting, etc.

This could involve wearable items, but is not specifically for this. I focus on sustainability & recycling/upcycling. All projects are original, and are created in conjunction with each learner.

The children can learn to use sewing - by machine, and by hand - in a variety of creative ways to produce original "art".

If you know of any children who would be a good fit for these classes, please contact me to set up an interview. I also have a student gallery wall to view.

In addition, I teach private, or semi-private sewing lessons which are specifically for making clothing or accessories, and cosplay (manga costumes) items.

Adult classes and lessons available upon request. :)
