Todays Fun Fact about the Port Whitby Port Perry Lindsay Railway features the station in Manchester. Located about 2 miles south of the village on the east side of Highway 12 this station featured large grain elevators built by Samuel Christian who was not only a grain merchant but also owned the general store on the corner of Brock and King St. Many derailments happened just south of here and by 1872 many trains just bypassed the station.
