I come from a long line of frugal and creative women who have passed down their knowledge to the daughters and cousins of my generation. All of the women in my family are needlewomen. We knit and crochet, quilt, se
w and do crafty things. I learned to knit at the age of 3 sitting on the knee of my great grandmother! I love to spend my time being productive and creating beautiful things. I hope you will enjoy what you see here. They can keep you warm, cover up a bad hair day, keep the sun off you so you don’t get a sunburn or sun stroke. They can dress up an outfit, be the finishing touch, or brighten up a dull day. They can be worn to identify a group or team, or serve a purpose like keeping bees off you! Hats are so expressive! They are so multipurpose! And the varieties of styles and textiles they can be made from are virtually unlimited. I ask you WHY NOT A HAT? Everyone should have at least one for each season or activity. I will be posting regularly with new seasonal items. Summer weight items are made with cotton and are available until September. Winter weight items are made with man made yarn products or natural wool. I recommend washing all items in cold water with a mild detergent and gently rolling between a towel to remove excess moisture and laying flat on a new towel to dry.
