What a month! I thought it was time to officially make a post and check in with everyone, while also giving an update for you all! The last month or so has been life changing in all the right ways here at Gro by Zo. We have had a very busy season of life with homeschooling, getting the boys settled into the year, and adjusting to our new normal. I am finally at a place mentally where I have a game plan for Gro by Zo, all the past orders placed, and how we plan on continuing in the future.

I will be spending the next two weeks finishing any and every order that was placed for our November preorder as fabric arrives (very slowly due to mail strikes) and getting any orders waiting for pickup ready to go. If you are waiting for a pickup email, or an email to confirm your shipping I expect to have them all out by Friday evening.

Going forward we will be doing strictly ready to wear only, and planning a monthly drop on the Gro by Zo website, along with monthly drop offs at our limited retailers. This will be for sale with our new pricing model and all orders placed on the website will be ready for pickup 3 set days a week.

Our first official website launch will be December 10th, BUT you can still find in stock items in the meantime at mini moose Mini Moose Consignment, Everything Baby, Lil Hoppers Play Cafe, and a select set of items at Nest & Sprout - Maternity and Children's Boutique. These will all be first come first serve with no custom options so you will want to act fast when you see something you love! especially with our new pricing model!

I want to say a huge thank you to the outpouring amount of love and patience with me as I deal with my personal journey in this busy season of life we are now entering.

To say a huge thank you to those who have been patient with me as well with custom orders you will want to keep an eye on your email as you will be receiving a heftyyy coupon for our next drops as an expression of my gratitude. It has been a bumpy road, one where I wasn't expecting near the patience and love I have received, and I am forever grateful.

A little update for everyone! I have been asked non stop for clarification on what this partial closure will look like. So I wanted to give an update! We will be closing all MAJOR operations such as markets and out of PG retailers in the new year. This is in hopes to calm our life down a bit and protect my peace in this chaotic season of life. Will you still be able to shop Gro by Zo? YES! You will still be able to shop GBZ in a limited capacity throughout PG and on my website/social media. You will be able to shop in person at Everything Baby and Blackwood Gifts along with online at Mini Moose Consignment and our own website. I will no longer be doing preorders or custom orders, so you will want to act fast when you see your faves at these places ♥️ Out of town? No worries! We offer shipping with Gro by Zo online, and so does Mini Moose!

The next month or so may seem extra quiet from us as I navigate some changes in our life but don’t you worry! Things may look a little different around here but we will still be back with your fave handmade childrens clothing, just with a slower pace 🥰

It is with a heavy heart that I am making the announcement Gro by Zo will be closing down all major operations the end of 2024. The last 3 years have taught me a lot about myself. The truth is, the small business community is a lot. There is so much beauty, but also so much judgement, politics, and negativity. I have been so honoured and blessed to grow into the thriving small business I have over the last 3 years, but with that has come more opportunity for some less than kind interactions as well. One of my favourite things about myself is my sensitivity. I think in so many ways it can be a superpower, but in the cut throat small business world it results in eating me up at night and crippling anxiety. I want to create and share my passions with the world but right now I just don’t think I have any steam left to be functioning as a full business.

So where does this leave us?

My first priority is finishing off any remaining customs. I’ve fallen slightly behind with the decline of my mental health and I am so so appreciative of everyone’s patience.

Secondly, you will still be able to shop Gro by Zo, but in a very limited capacity that will protect my mental space and creative freedom. I will be attending Hunniford Garden Harvest Days, and Studio Fair as my last markets with GBZ. Going forward the only place to shop with us will be Everything Baby, Mini Moose, and Blackwood Gifts.

Truth be told, I need to get off of social media. The constant need to be accessible has been a lot and I just need to unplug and take a break.

I have a lot of random fabric around my office as well I will be clearing out and having some awesome deals on through my Facebook vip page.

The truth is, I’m exhausted. Which makes me so sad because I love what I do. And I love YOU but I simply cannot keep living my life in the defence running on fumes. I’m ready for a new chapter of slow living, creating on a small scale and just loving on my family.

Thank you all so much for supporting my family through these last few years. I am so unbelievably grateful for the love and support I have recieved. But it’s time for this tired mama to protect her peace and get some rest ♥️
