Marine welding repair Usual results vary from 2 -10mph depending on the craft.

I have over 25 years of experience in propeller and gear case repair, as well as performance modifications to S/S Propellers and gear cases. For boats 60mph or higher I can do nose cone and low water pickup installations. For the sleds, dirt bikes and quads repairs can be made to gear cases and chain cases in most scenarios. Helpful prop information

PITCH
The pitch controls the amount of thrust a

pplied to the water by the prop. Higher pitch grabs more water ...lower pitch grabs less, much like the gearing in your other vehicles ..lower pitch = low end pull ....higher pitch = top end thrust. Manufacture pitches jump by 2 pitches by either even or uneven numbers. Some people will find that having their prop re pitched in between these numbers will work better for the type of performance they want. COMPOSITE PROPELLERS

Composite props may provide convenience and adequate performance but have significant flex during the hole shot. This transfers power away from thrust slowing from the hole shot. The material used also makes fine tuning the propellers operation impossible. ALUMINUM PROPELLERS

Aluminum propellers are generally outfitted by the manufacturer. Aluminum does still have a measurable amount of flex on the hole shot but acceptable hole shot times can be achieved with fine tuning. They are versatile for fine tuning the performance and fuel economy of your boat. STAINLESS STEEL

Stainless steel is the best option for those who would like optimum performance and fuel economy out of their boat. Stainless has almost zero flex allowing all the power to be used in thrust. Fine tuning is also a plus for stainless.
