The tutorial to get these Qualicum separates is up on the blog today. Not only do I show you the steps needed to make the top and bottom but I walk you through how to shirr the waistband of the pants for a fun relaxed fit.

I wore these pants out yesterday and I have multiple people stop me to tell me how much they loved them. It doesn't happen to me often so I took that to mean these pants are a winner.

I can't stop taking the Qualicum Jumpsuit and making it into something new, the more uses for one pattern the better. Last week I got the idea of making the pattern into separates and once I envisioned it I knew it had to be made.

Three simple changes and you are left with a completely different pattern. I added a full collar, zipper front, and elastic waist. Sewn in this black linen/rayon with a metal zipper and I feel like I should go somewhere fancy.

The full tutorial for all three changes including pattern pieces for the collar are up on the blog now. It's a big one but so worth it if you want to change up the look of your Qualicum jumpsuit.

Pattern Release Day! A great way to end another year of Me Made May.

With a break in the rain yesterday I was able to trek through our property and snap some pictures of my newest pattern. The Qualicum jumpsuit is relaxed and comfy with so many different looks depending on view and fabric choice.
