đ Shop the Look & Elevate Your Game As an avid gym goer, I was frustrated with not being able to purchase nice clothing to work out in. Yes, there were options such as Nike and Under Armour but I wanted something differen
t, something with style and quality items that I didn't need to replace every 3 months. Since I spent a lot of time in the gym I needed a variety of items to avoid wearing the same stinky outfit for an entire week. My entrepreneurial spirit took over and I pursued unique brands that had never before been seen in Canada. On August 15, 2007, Gym Star Apparel officially became a business, it all started by acquiring a brand from the USA which I began selling to local friends, gym guys, and at bodybuilding events. This niche business model quickly grew and within a year's time, I was on the hunt for something more, something better. In the summer of 2008, I discovered premium European brands, GASP and Better Bodies and made a relationship from there with the launch of our very first web store. By fall/winter 2008 our online presence at gymstar.ca was spreading like wildfire and we catered to the local customer by delivering orders as well. At first what seemed like a small, profitable hobby had become a full-time passion for us. As we now start our 11th year in business online we can reflect back on and the growth of our unique niche business and be proud of all we have accomplished with much more success to come for Gym Star. Due to the high demand for the brands and local online orders, it was time to open a Gym Star Pro Shop Flagship Store in Regina. The first Gym Star Pro Shop was officially open for business back on May 22, 2012. We are welcomed by our customers for the âplace to buy anything fitness relatedâ accompanied with laser-sharp customer service, updates and remerchandising of the store to esthetically please our taste and our customers. We carefully select our current brand offerings to fit within our business model of exclusivity partnered with high quality. Gym Star is Canadaâs PREMIUM dealer for GASP and Better Bodies, which means we have exclusive access to items in Canada. We are very honoured to have the premium dealer title along with our laser-sharp customer care, our massive stock and high positioning within the retail and fitness industries. We have earned our Retail Stripes and continue to move forward, striving for more success. We offer a very unique shopping experience that isnât duplicated from any other type of business model. Gym Star Pro Shops are true âdestinationâ shopping experiences as we have brands exclusive to Regina and even to Canada with travellers (as far away as east coast) passing through Regina âneedingâ to stop in and shop. We receive calls daily from major centres such as Vancouver and Toronto inquiring if we have retail locations there.
