What I probably pride myself on the most as a DJ is the ability to blend absolute singalong bangers with heavier music and somehow make it all feel natural 😭🔥

To me, a great DJ isn’t just someone who plays hard drops nonstop — it’s someone who can move across genres seamlessly, get the crowd emotionally invested, and guide people through a journey with the music.

One second everyone’s screaming lyrics together with their arms around each other… next thing you know we’re deep into heavier sounds, faster BPMs, and full rave energy. That transition and crowd control is one of my favorite parts of DJing.

Reading the room is everything. Knowing when to build tension, when to make people nostalgic, when to shock them with something unexpected — that’s the art behind it all for me.

It’s always fun exploring different stages, meeting new people, sharing music, and just creating moments together at the end of the day. No matter how big or small the crowd is, I never take those opportunities for granted.

This post is a bunch of raw footage from the old FX Fridays days at Bassment Club 816… and honestly it’s crazy looking back at an era where we were casually running events from midnight all the way to 6am 😭🔥

Bassment was truly one of the OG spots for afterhours culture and late-night music lovers. The energy there was DIFFERENT. Nonstop vinahouse, hands up music, hard techno closing sets — pure chaos in the best way possible.

And if you know… you KNOW about “power hour.” ⚡
Once it hit around 5am, everybody just went all out. No holding back. The drops got heavier, the tempos got faster, and somehow people still had energy left to bounce like it was midnight again.

Some of the best vinabounce edits came out of nights like these too — sometimes even English flips mixed into the madness. It was one of those eras where we were all just experimenting, pushing ourselves creatively, and fully living in the moment.

Forever grateful to everyone who was part of that era. Those nights honestly helped me craft RaveFX 🖤✨

These are the moments where everything just fades out and it’s me, the music, and the crowd. Fully locked in, reading the room, feeling the energy, and building that connection track by track.

It’s crazy looking back at these shots because they capture what I feel in real time — the focus, the adrenaline, the passion. Every set is different, every crowd is different, but the goal is always the same: create a moment people won’t forget.

We launched Discovery Rave as a space for local DJs who haven’t had much stage time — a chance to step up, debut, and show what they’ve really got on a proper Vancouver stage.

And honestly… I was blown away.

Seeing a full lineup of new faces, different styles, different energies — you could feel how much it meant to them. The nerves, the excitement, the passion… and then watching them actually deliver? So fire. 🔥

It brought me back to the early days of RaveFX. The first few events we ever ran were all about local spotlight — giving opportunities to people who just needed a chance. Being able to bring that back and reconnect with the community like this felt full circle.

You’d be surprised how much hidden talent there is in the city. Sometimes all people need is a platform… and they’ll rise to the occasion every time.

Huge respect to every DJ who stepped up and trusted us with their debut. And big love to the crowd for supporting, showing energy, and being part of something bigger than just a party.

This is how we grow the scene. Together. 🖤✨

Got the chance to play for CHYL on her Pretty Race Girl Tour and it was honestly such a fun experience from start to finish. It’s always so surreal seeing my name on a big flyer like this and actually get to be part of the event for a show I’m so excited to see!

Finally meeting her in person was dope — super friendly, great energy, and exactly the kind of artist you respect even more after meeting them. Had to gift her a pair of the iconic RaveFX sunglasses 😎 and of course we locked in a photo to remember the moment.

These are the kinds of opportunities that remind me how far this journey has come. From practicing on my own to sharing spaces with artists I’ve looked up to — it really hits different in real life.
