Consider this your friendly reality check 👀

We spend a lot of time talking about shoes, fit, running, walking, injuries, gear, and all the little things people Google before they ever walk through our doors.

And sometimes, the answer is a little less glamorous than people expect.

The most popular shoe is not always your shoe.
More expensive does not always mean better.
AI can give you a starting point, but it cannot watch you move.
And no, you do not need to be “a serious runner” to come see us.

We’re here to help you figure out what actually works for you.

So. Which slide called you out the most? 🫣😂

A little extra thankful this weekend.

For the runners.
For the walkers.
For everyone in between.

For the conversations, the questions, the kilometres, and the community we get to be part of.

We’re pretty lucky to do what we do.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Runners’ Edge. 🧡

What are you feeling thankful for this weekend?

Fall is elite in Niagara.

Cooler temps. Crunchy leaves. Less humidity. Better long walks and runs.

But it also comes with a few things worth thinking about before you head out:

🍂 Shorter daylight means visibility matters
🍂 Cooler starts do not always mean you need heavy layers
🍂 Wet leaves can be slippery, especially on corners and hills
🍂 Your summer shoes may have more kilometres on them than you think
🍂 Socks, lights, reflective gear and the right layers can make a huge difference

You do not need to overcomplicate fall running. You just need gear that works for where, when and how you actually run.

Not sure what you need? Come see us. We know the local routes, the weather, the gear and the questions to ask to help you get set up properly.

Fall running is here. 🍂

Cooler mornings, changing light, wet pavement, trail debris, darker evenings…the season shifts, and sometimes your gear needs to shift with it.

Not sure whether your current shoes still make sense for the kilometres ahead? Wondering if you need more grip, a different layer, or just a fresh pair before fall training really gets underway?

Come talk to us.

Our team knows the local roads, trails, weather, and what tends to work here because we’ve been helping Niagara runners and walkers figure it out for years.

What’s your favourite part of fall running? The temperatures? The colours? The races? Or are you already missing summer? 👀

The sweaters are on. It’s official. 👀

Meet your Fall 2026 Runners’ Edge Ambassadors.

Over the next few months, you’ll be seeing a lot more of them around here. In the shop, out in the community, and probably putting a few kilometres on those new sweaters.

We are so excited to have them representing what Runners’ Edge is all about: showing up, supporting the people around you, and making movement feel like it belongs to everyone.

Come say hi in the comments and welcome Dana✨ Bryan Caporicci and
to the team.

Sure, AI can recommend a running shoe. But it still can’t replace an in-person fitting.

We’re seeing more people come into the shop with shoe recommendations they got from ChatGPT and Gemini. And honestly? AI can be useful for research. You can ask questions, compare models, and even see who has the shoe nearby.

But that still isn’t the same as standing in front of someone who can watch you move in real time, ask the right questions about your goals and training, and compare how different shoes actually feel and perform on your feet.

A recommendation is one thing. A proper fitting is another.

That’s where 20+ years of experience matters.

So go ahead and use AI to learn. Maybe even use it to narrow down your choices.

Then come in and let a real person help you figure out what actually works for you.
