I DON’T sell baby carriers!!!

What I sell is so much more! 😜
It’s true, baby carriers can be used as a way to help busy parents accomplish what the day requires of us while also meeting the needs of our children. But more importantly, baby wearing is a relationship tool that facilitates a special bond between your baby and their caregiver/s! 🥰

Though I’ll be honest.. When I started baby wearing it was out of necessity to walk our family dog, in our rural home setting, because using a stroller is not an option.. I thought of baby wearing as a way to make life outside of the home easier; and what I was surprised to quickly learn is that it would also become an invaluable tool inside the four walls of our home!! I was not educated about the level of closeness, bonding and connection it would create for my baby and I. And equally as important, it could do the same for anyone else who participates in her care! 🤯 Now, baby wearing has become my husbands go-to method to comfort our daughter and family members use it to soothe her while we get a much needed break!

So over the coming weeks, I plan to dive deeper into some of the benefits I’ve learned about baby wearing and I’m curious..

Dads like to baby wear, too, you know! Unfortunately though, there aren’t a lot of masculine carriers on the market.. That’s why a heavy metal Dad dreamt up this custom onbubimo with a giant Lemmy patch! This all black carrier looks really slick but what’s even cooler is: the fabric is all **p!! 🤘🏽🖤

H**p is a fabric because not only does it get softer with age; it’s also strong, sustainable and baby safe! 🤩

Did you know h**p is one of the most fabrics in the whole world?! Unlike cotton, it does not require high levels of water and it naturally replenishes soil nutrients while growing! Raw h**p absorbs more CO2 per hectare than forest, is one of the strongest and most durable of ALL natural fibres! On top of all that, h**p is also resistant to UV light, mold, and mildew. Talk about ! 🌱

We can’t wait to see what adventures this carrier gets brought along for! 😎🤘🏽

This apron style carrier is going to be perfect for winter because it's made with a beautiful handwoven wrap that has a soft and cozy blend of silk and super wash merino wool! This beauty
*sparkles* in person!
Completed with a removable, waterproof lined hood that has extra long ties for easy access during a back carry; it also has a newborn cinch so it can grow with babe and fancy suck pads for style points! We can't wait to see this sparkle in the snow! ✨❄️✨

We have been busy here at GWG! 😍
Playing around with an apron style design, I have landed on a final draft and am feeling very happy with it! 🥰 This apron carrier is made complete with a removable, water proof lined hood, matching suck pads and side flaps on the panel to help with the unflattering side b**b webbing can sometimes cause. 🤭 I fell in love with this super cozy and strong velvet, and the idea of wrapping baby girl up in positivity- so it’s very fulfilling to finally have this vision come to life! And I can’t wait to make more of this comfy design in other fabric options, soon!

We have also been busy sending off custom orders but unfortunately haven’t had a chance to get pictures of them; but I am eternally grateful for everyone who has supported us and I hope to get better with photos and posting as we grow!

It’s fall so you know what that means: sweater weather is here! 🤩 Sweaters are my all time favourite clothing item but they can feel bulky on babe and be uncomfortable when you are wearing them- that’s why I made these cozy covers! These cozy covers can snap over almost any carrier straps and are perfect for keeping babe warm without all the extra bulk! I think my tester’s smile says the rest 😉😍

Not only is baby wearing a wonderful way to enhance bonding, carrying your baby has also been shown to:

-Support your baby’s physiological systems 🧠
-Reduce crying 😴
-Reduce postpartum depression in caregivers 😌
-Increase breastfeeding success rates 🍼
-Ergonomically superior to carrying baby in an infant carseat or stroller 🤓
-Allow caregivers to more easily practice self-care while meeting their baby’s needs 💅🏼

So whatever your reason for initially baby wearing, my guess is that you probably benefited in more ways than you first imagined! 🥰

Introducing Emerald Isle!

This custom onbuhimo was made for a special Irish woman and her new daughter. Featuring a gold and teal toned silk paired with emerald linen- this carrier is taking us back to the Emerald Isle with the many shades of green!

Made of all natural fibres like silk and linen mean this carrier is not only beautiful, but it is also strong and breathable! It’s going to be perfect for its new home in the Florida sun! I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed making it! 💚

This stunning onbuhimo was created as a part of a tandem set for two very special being’s. Made with a gorgeous rainbow wrap from on the outside and a colour-shifting dupioni silk from on the inside; it has a removable hood, curved straps with low profile ladder locks and extra long pfas that allow for easy and comfortable breastfeeding on the go!! Also included are matching zorb lined drool pads and a newborn cinch for early wearing. Pictures truly cannot to this beauty justice! 🌈
