CREATIVE KIDS IS SPONSORING OUR YOUTH FOR THIS SUMMER CAMP! We are accepting applications now for SEVEN Indigenous youth to participate in this program..for FREE! We welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous boys/men, girls/women, they/them trans individuals, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Thrifty Traditions. This is a 3 week Fashion and Design Summer Camp for teens 14-19
It runs July 6th - July 25th
Monday to Friday
9:00am - 3:30pm
Students will be tasked with upcyclying six garments from the thrift store, creating a collection on a budget that not only expresses their cultural identity with the use of color, fabrics and symbolism but also their unique, creative artistic point of view. On the last day, a fashion show will be organized so the participants can showcase their designs to family and friends. Cost for this three week interactive experience is $750.

NOTE: experienced sewists are prioritized, but creatives looking to define their aesthetic are also encouraged to apply. Please email details about yourself, your aesthetic, pictures of anything you have made to [email protected]

I have been wondering what to do with that one week during the Summer…lots of moms would like to make regalia for their little ones. Maybe we could do that…price is less for a tiny tot…not at all like teen or adult regalia…so would be affordable for moms! August 4th to August 7th Tuesday to Friday…after the long weekend. I don’t know if it will take the full four days…but we could block it of fb for that.

Mini Me Doll Regalia. A week-long Summer Camp for Tweens 9-12 years old
July 27th-July 31st
Monday - Friday
9:00am - 3:30 pm.
Through hands-on exploration of Indigenous cultural garment making, students will craft ribbon skirts, ribbon shirts, or regalia for their dolls, discovering the art of beading, sewing, design, and color. No experience necessary - just an open mind and enthusiasm.
For just $275, take home not only unforgettable memories but also the doll you've adorned with love and craftsmanship.
