I recently purchased a knitting machine and no that's not cheating! I had never heard of this machine until a couple years ago when a good friend of mine mentioned she had one. I can't recall if this was after I had my son or when I was pregnant. Either way, I have thought about what this machine is over the years. In the last few months I have actually done some research, went to my local knit store and inquired about seeing one. Within seconds of the demonstration I knew this was an investment I wanted to do. I promise to post a picture of it and items I make.
As for hand knitting here are a couple pictures a friend sent me of items I've made her in exchange for some sewing.

This is part of my 2017 goal, I want to start tackling a few more knitting projects beyond knitting for friends family. I'm hoping to get those who I have knitted for to take photos that I can post here. I learned to knit from my grandma and 6-7 years ago took a knitting class at the Wool Emporium and fell back in love with knitting. I like working with my hands, I make cards, done cross stitch and jewelry in the past, and dabbled in sewing/quilting. I love a knitting challenge as each project/pattern I tackle increases my confidence in my knitting abilities.
