🌲🔥 THE SKIES ARE CLEARING… AND SO ARE WE. ❤️

After roughly 8 days of smoke hanging around the North Shuswap, seeing those blue skies again feels pretty damn good. ☀️🌲

And honestly, during those smoky days, one thing that really helped me unwind and recover was spending time in the sauna at Contrast by Raven.

There’s something about stepping away from the noise, slowing everything down, getting warm, breathing, relaxing, and giving your body a little time to reset.

Sometimes being part of a community means simply paying attention and sharing information.

The RCMP is asking for help from the public.

If you have a home security camera, doorbell camera, or dash cam footage, please take a moment to check your recordings and report anything that may be suspicious or relevant.

You never know what a camera may have captured.

📹 Check your cameras.
🚗 Check your dash-cam footage.
👀 Stay aware of what’s happening around you.
📞 If you see something suspicious, report it to the appropriate authorities.

And another reminder for everyone travelling around the North Shuswap and BC…

🔥 Consider carrying a properly stored fire extinguisher in your vehicle.

Being prepared doesn’t mean being afraid.

It means being ready to help yourself, your family, your neighbours, or someone else who may need a hand.

WOW.

What a weekend.

On Friday, four incredible ladies rolled into Scotch Creek for their very first visit and stopped by the little Shack with the big heart with one simple question:
