UPDATE (August 18): Despite the gate being open, PLEASE continue to access the store via the left side of the building and around the back. Please also be extra careful as the parking lot is an active construction zone with heavy machinery at work!

The parking lot is out of commission, and will be for a few weeks for major work. WE ARE STILL OPEN DURING THE WORK!

For the rest of this week, at least, you can access the store by walking up the left side of the building and around the back, where you will find some stairs that lead to the cement wall pictured. Will keep you informed as the project moves along and access to the store changes.

As for parking, there is street parking as well as municipal parking located across the street from us, beside the Maxi parking lot.

🚗 A reminder for women in Estrie: The LDWC “Take the Wheel” Driver’s License Bursary is still accepting applications!

The “Take the Wheel” Driver’s License Bursary supports women facing financial barriers to obtaining their learner’s driver’s license, helping more women get behind the wheel and take an important step toward greater mobility and independence.

For 2026, the bursary will support three women by covering the costs of Phase 1 driving lessons at an accredited driving school, as well as the associated exam and learner’s permit fees with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ).

🔸 Eligibility Criteria:
· Applicants must identify as women.
· Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
· Applicants must reside in the Estrie region of Quebec (territory served by LDWC).
· Applicants must be ready and eligible to enroll in driving school in fall 2026.

🔸 What the Bursary Covers:
· Driving school fees for Phase 1 (theory lessons and course materials)
· SAAQ fees for the exam and initial learner’s permit

🔸 How to Apply:
Complete the application form and provide supporting documents demonstrating financial need. Applications will be reviewed by the LDWC Bursary Committee of the Board of Directors. Successful candidates will be notified within 30 days of the submission deadline.
