FOR SALE

Leather Rub Protector/Preventor for
Greenguard Grazing Muzzles - $20

For Greenguard Grazing Muzzles - HORSE SIZE (5)

Can be used on the front or back side of the muzzle to protect the nose or chin from rubbing.

Tested on my own horse with a sensitive white/pink chin that was rubbing on the muzzle holes and it worked well.

This is vegetable tanned leather 4-5 mm thick.

You can use medium and/or small size zip ties to attach the tabs on the leather to the basket. You do not have to drill any holes in the muzzle to attach these.

A dyed and finished leather would likely last longer but the horse would get some exposure to the dye and/or finish. I do have some leather options for that though if you are interested in having some made like that.

Sorry I do not own a Pony (4) or Mini (3) size of those muzzles, I can only make horse size (5) ones.

I've had a surprising amount of orders in the last month. I also have a whole bunch of other summer related stuff going on. So I didn't get around to posting much. But I'll try and get some pictures posted of the projects I've worked on.

Here's a dress belt I did for a customer earlier this month.

During the Slave Lake Fire of 2011, we were given only 5 minutes to get out of our home when a wildfire started moving our way very quickly.
Thankfully we didn't have horses at the time, just dogs that were easier to grab.
Ideally I never want to have to leave our horses so l watch fires closely now and if they start getting closer ! prep so I could drop the trailer on the truck and load them very fast.
But what if something really unexpected happens very fast and you have no choice but to let the horse out to save themselves? How do you find your horse later or how does someone find you if they find your horse?
So I thought I'd make a collar that would work good for that situation. A collar that's sturdy and wide enough it can hold a tracking device like Tractive ones, that can also have an ID tag on it, but that is also thin enough if the horse caught the collar on something the leather would break when needed.
It can also work for other non emergency situations, say if you're worried about your horse getting out of temporary fencing, etc. If your interested in trying one or more of these collars they are available for order on my Etsy and website store, link in my bio 🔗

FOR SALE

“Renegade” Heavy Duty Leather Dog Collar - $70

The "Renegade" collar. This is a very heavy duty collar made from a beautiful burgundy coloured leather and with black rivets. The smooth leather back and rounded edges make it easy to clean and easy on the dogs neck.

Collar is 11/2 inch wide in the center part and 1 inch at the ends.

Collar in stock is adjustable 18 1/4 - 21 1/4 inch. In stock collar will ship out within less then a week.

Custom sizes are available. I don't always have as much time for customs so l've put the wait time at 2-3 weeks.

Measurement Directions:

Measure the circumference of your dogs neck with a soft tape measure or measure their current collar from the middle of the buckle (where the material folds over) to the most used hole on the collar.

Trying something on scraps so maybe I could offer some custom initial or name options.
Not looking too bad but I'll work on refining it a bit more.
I've been watching hockey and an old western show lately so thats where I'm coming up with practice names. 😁

If my leatherwork is out of your budget, I may accept trade or partial trades.

*Shippable items I might be interested in trading for:

- Interesting or cute photography accessories, universal fit or for Canon brand equipment (like I was looking at hot shoe covers, lense skins)
- Black cowboy hat (good quality, worth in the $100-$300 range)
- Good Quality Refillable Lighter
- Open to unique jackknifes, hunting knifes, some kitchen knives
- Cute and/or unique ceramic kitchen items
- Unique rounded brim baseball caps
- Unique bedside lamps or work space lights. Might also be interested in some battery and/or rechargeable ones for camper use.

*NEW ITEMS ONLY (What your trading for would be new and never used items and I want to trade for the same)

Now I’m a bit picky sometimes when shopping for stuff but I am usually attracted to things made with turquoise, abalone, wood, antler, copper, silver materials and subtler western, rustic, natural styles.

If your local I am looking for or could use:

- Occasionally could use and do a partial trade for welding, mechanic, or electrician hours
- Horse chiropractor credit
- Puppy or pretty young border collie or possibly a mix depending on the breed. Would be going to a loving home on an acreage with lots of interesting stuff going on and another collie mix who needs a buddy.
- Help me find a decent gas Ford F350 crew cab long box or flat deck truck for around 20k and maybe I can trade you a leather good as a thank you.

There's a lot of flimsy products on the market now. That's why I want people to understand that when I label any of my products as heavy duty, I am not exaggerating. I regularly work around heavy machinery where a strong understanding of how to make something secure is very important. And that understanding I have carried over into my leatherwork.
I'm always think about long term use and/or satety when making products, especially on things like horse tack.

So heres a run down of all that I’m making for belts now:

1 1/4" Width Belt - $70
1 1/2” Width Belt - $90
1 3/4” Width Belt - $100
2” Width Belt - $100

You can choose leather colour and buckle hardware from whatever I have in stock or that I can order in.

I can make simple lighter dress belts (men or women’s) in 3/4 to 1” width size for about $50-70 depending on buckle choice.

I can also make just the belt itself if you have a buckle already you want to use.

I'm also open to making some hunting belts.
I've only made a couple but they turned out good so l'd like the opportunity to make some more. Quotes for hunting belts start at $150.

Message me for more information. Located in Slave Lake but can ship anywhere if buyer pays. Most of these options are also listed on my Etsy and website shop if you prefer to make a purchase thru there.
