One-of-a-kind hand-painted entry seating, blending functional furniture and fine art. This whimsical statement piece features a charming owl motif, harlequin and checkerboard detailing and a sculptural back panel topped with and antique style bevelled edge mirror and gold tone coat hooks. Created to evoke a storybook, old-world European feel. It brings character and warmth to an entry way, hallway or intimate sitting space. A true conversation piece for collectors of eclectic and maximalist interiors.

Refurbished vintage chest of drawers using a vibrant printed reproduction of Klimt's The Kiss which spans the entire front of the drawers.
The main body of the dresser is painted with Fusions Mineral Paint Bayberry, a deep muted olive green, distressed and sealed with a mat water based varnish. The entire piece has been sealed with a water based varnish, including canvas. The backing has been completely replaced. Drawer pulls are original to the piece.
The overall aesthetic is a unique blend of vintage furniture style and Art Nouveau/Jugendstil artistry, creating a bold, artistic statement piece for a bedroom or hallway. (staged photos are AI generated)

Re imagined and now unique decorative desk organiser with whimsical characters. It is rectangular and low, so it can sit on a desk, table, sideboard, or shelf.
The surface is painted with Fusion mineral paint Bayberry, a deep olive green, accented with off white, black and gold detailing and then antiqued with Fusion antiquing glaze. The top and trim are decorated with a hand-painted checker board pattern giving it a playful yet traditional feel. Sides and back are also painted and decorated so the piece can be free standing and viewed from all sides. Drawers and back side are decorated with IOD woodland creatures. The artwork has a naive/folk illustration style, with visible brushwork that adds charm.
The hardware are old looking copper metal label pulls, reinforcing a vintage or apothecary-inspired look.
Decorative and utilitarian, perfect as an accent piece or curiosity storage. Made of pressed wood and wood. Nice quality weight. (first image AI generated)

Vintage Thomasville tallboy dresser featuring a stack of multiple drawers. Classic French Provincial shape with a curved bottom edge and feet.
The piece has a "moody" finish, painted with Fusion Mineral paint Homestead blue and then heavily distressed to reveal the warmer, rustic wood tones beneath. Sides have dark red painted striped accents. The top surface of the dresser has been left with its natural wood finish, providing a striking contrast to the dark body. Top right surface has been decorated with a sunflower to cover a burned spot that was deep and not removable. It was not burned by flames but rather by a very hot object. Front has been decorated with IOD sunflower transfers. Some drawers have been painted due to staining and then sealed with a water based mat varnish. The whole piece has been sealed with bees wax. Hardware is original to the piece.
The overall aesthetic combines a rustic, farmhouse, or country style with functional art, making it a unique statement piece for any room. (staged photo is AI generated)

NOTE: All furniture pieces, big or small, were preowned, loved or neglected and have scars to tell about it. Minor repairs are sometimes necessary and are ever so lightly camouflaged to fit the overall aesthetic of the piece. However, not all scars are polished away completely which is on purpose to leave the original character of the life it has been through. Mayor repairs, if any, are mentioned in the description for each piece.

All furniture pieces and smaller objects are local to me pick-up only. I do not ship due to high shipping prices.
I do not have a walk-in store at this time so appointments are necessary to view the piece of interest.

I do use ChatGPT to generate at least one staging photo for each piece of furniture or objects simply to give an idea how it would look in a certain setting. Please see all photos for details and close-ups.

Refurbished French Provincial lingerie dresser that makes for a great artistic statement piece in any room. Painted with Fusion Mineral Paint Charcoal. The central feature is a large, dramatic image of a dark horse's head and neck on tissue paper that spans the front of the drawers. To extend the image to the edge and over the last drawer, the image was 'painted/feathered' outwards for more cohesion. Drawer pulls are wooden and were painted so to not stand out as much.
Overall, the dresser combines the functionality and classic form of vintage furniture with a bold, modern, and slightly rustic farmhouse inspired artistic vibe. (first staged photo AI generated)

I LOVE upcycling old, discarded objects whether they are broken or not. If they are broken, I fix them solidly and camouflage them to a point that no one will notice. However, I still mention repairs when I decide to sell them. This project came together from an old, thrifted canvas frame and a vintage oil painting on canvas board by ‘Colet’. I used IOD air clay and IOD silicon molds to embellish the plain old white thrifted canvas frame. I then painted it a gold / bronze color and then antiqued it to make the details pop. I knew I would eventually find an original oil painting, and I don’t mean by a famous painter although it would be welcome but…, that would fit this upcycled frame. Et voila, I found this painting (along with 3 other smaller ones from the same artist) for 5 dollars at a church sale this week. The frame was a boring white and did not do any justice to the painting. Now, I think, it just looks gorgeous, and I also think that Colet would be proud of how her paintings are displayed and eventually find a good home where they will be cherished and enjoyed for years to come.
