This is what we need on a frosty morning...some pretty colorful birds.
This 1950s Bartlett-Collins milk glass pitcher features handpainted birds, which I believe are a red cardinal, a bluebird & a finch.
In excellent condition & ready to hold a hefty amount of your juice of choice or some vibrant flowers to match the birds.

Well the weather is changing & not in the right direction, so time to start thinking warm.
This vintage olive green trench coat may be giving off military vibes but the quilted lining is giving off warm vibes.
Double breasted, epaulettes, belted waist, storm flap, cuff straps & button back flap...sooo 70s, which is where it dates from!
Sized at large with measurements on the tag.
Made in Yugoslavia.

This cutsie cottage pie apple box could help though.
It could double as a bread box if you wanted.
It won't hold a tree worth but enough to keep the doctor at bay.

This Godinger squirrel nutcraker is a great size at 9" long & 6" high with a good set of jaws to take on any nuts that cross his path.

Some more info on this vintage Hummel beauty from this morning.
Dating from the 1960s, she is called 'Madonna with halo' & stands 10.5" high.
She was designed by Reinhold Unger for Goebel & is stunning in its simplicity.
It does have a small chip on the rim sadly but I'm just drawn, from the peep of a little foot to the hands that point to her face.
Classic!!

I know...a bit early, but sometimes it takes some organizing when you're trying to be creative.
I do love the look of a Christmas tree on a vintage wooden base, really gives a country house feel to seasonal decorating.
But finding that wooden base is not always easy.
Ta daaaaaa...a fabulous 3 footed wooden table base minus the top is perfect, & I just happen to have one...just one mind.
