We're hosting an extra long Handmade Getaway for the Labour Day weekend and this means we'll have extended shop hours if you're in the area and want to drop by to visit us in person Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm.
The Parkdale Pick Up Point is open regular days and hours - Thursday from 5pm - 8pm and Saturday from 11am - 5pm for order pick ups.

Forever workroom team member, Debbie aka Dear Gemini dropped off some special handmade treasures to us last week.
"My daughter adores bubbles, painting, and crafts. And one day while we were outside blowing bubbles it struck me - we could make something really great and have so much fun while doing it."

The first collaborative offering from Dear Gemini is their Maggie & Me collection: hand poured trinket dishes and magnetic pin dishes, covered in hand blown bubbles. Quantities are limited and we have just a few left after our trip to Barrie for Fibre Spirt this past Saturday.
Thank you to everyone who dropped by our booth to say Hi! It is always great to see you in person and hear about the projects you are working on.

Karyn was looking for a Button Match this week to go with the Blue Pop Jacquard from Merchant & Mills when she discovered these cute buttons that have such a similar colour and texture to the cotton Jacquards.
She actually found three colours of this style and each one matches a current or past Jacquard colour - Viridian, Blue Pop and Charcoal. We immediately rounded up all the ones we could find and popped them into the online shop for you. We are keeping an eye out more colours and will post them if we find any!

The Sprucedale shop and Parkdale Pick Up Point are closed today because Alexis and Karyn are in Barrie at the Fibre Spirit Festival from 10am - 4pm! We hope you drop by, say Hi and check out our booth full of bundles, Sashiko supplies, embroidery kits from Kiriki Press, books, patterns, notions and buttons from The Button Dept!
We may be closed today however we wanted to let you know about our EXTENDED HOURS in Sprucedale for the upcoming Long Weekend. We're hosting an extra long Handmade Getaway for Labour Day and this means we'll have extended shop hours if you're in the area and want to drop by to visit us in person Friday September 4, Saturday September 5 and Sunday September 6 from 11am-4pm.
We are back to regular hours at the Parkdale Pick Up Point and are open Thursday evenings from 5pm - 8pm and Saturdays from 11am - 5pm. Don't forget to place your online order by 5pm on Tuesday for free local pick up in Toronto later the same week.

This week Fern quilted her Double Time quilt on our Bernina Q24 longarm and she did such an amazing job. The Double Time was Fern's first quilt and her second quilt that she long armed. It's all so inspiring!
You're going to want to check out the close up to see every bit of this beautiful patchwork project. Fern paired up with community member, Nadia to share fabric and they truly curated the cutest prints together.

Our Double Time Quilt workshop starts Thursday September 10th if you want to make your own version of this project - it comes straight out of our Handmade Getaway book. This project is a fun way to dig into your stash and really highlight all your favourite fabrics. Even better if you grab a friend and share fabrics for Double the fun! (which is how this quilt got its' name)
