Sometimes people ask us why we carry the brands we do. Or they’ll say I can find this cheaper somewhere else. Or some people will even say why do I care about how someone in a factory has treated? ( We don’t chat with that last person much… there’s no reasoning with the unreasonable )

We only sell B Corp U.S. & Canada and brands because we value the value of a brand. Of course we want to sell high-quality long lasting environmentally, conscious sustainably sourced items. It kind of seems like it should be the bare minimum. But behind all of the brands that value those things… Are people that are interested in treating people fairly as well.

That’s what you pay for when you buy our brands. You buy intention, you buy longevity, you buy better business practices, you buy long-term partnerships, not short-term money exchanges.

You buy companies that will use a biodegradable bag… Not because they have to… Not because it makes their product cheaper… and not because it’s greenwashing… it’s because it’s an intentional choice to do business in a way but it’s netter for the environment, better for people, better for community.

So here’s the official description of World Elephant Day:

“It is an international event created to bring people together to protect elephants, support safe and natural habitats, and stop poaching, human-wildlife conflict, and mistreatment in captivity”

Isn’t that awesome! A day dedicated to thinking about, possibly helping and preserving something that you may never in your life engage with… But doing it because it’s a good thing to do! And, it could benefit someone or something that you might never know about.
