Hey, I’m Natalie, the hands behind Haversack.
My journey started at 11 with my first sewing machine and a love of making things. After studying fashion design, I found my way into costume construction at the Stratford Festival, where I fell in love with traditional tailoring and the craftsmanship behind well-made things.
That passion took me across Canada on sewing contracts, to Australia, where I discovered auto and boat upholstery, and back home to figure out how to apply those skills all together.
Along the way, I bought my own industrial sewing machine, started experimenting with leather, and began selling small goods on Etsy. Eventually, I took a chance on myself and turned Haversack into a full-time business.
Today, Haversack brings together everything I’ve learned along the way, from motorcycle seats and upholstery to tool rolls and small leather goods. My path has been anything but linear, but each experience has shaped the work I do today.
At the heart of it all is a love of practical problem-solving, thoughtful design, and making useful things with care and skill, built to last.
Thanks for following along on this journey! 🖤
