Stirling-Rawdon Krissy Johnston is the owner and operator of Isaiah & Co, a company specializing in therapeutic sensory items and custom personal and houseware items.

After experiencing extreme negative outbursts from a foster child with autism, Krissy felt there had to be a therapeutic way to create calm.

With much research and many trial and error attempts, she created her first sensory aids. Marble mazes and sensory lap pads with a variety of textures, colours and tags to hold seemed to help calm the young boy and aid with tough situations.

Drawing on her own traumatic experiences as a first responder, Krissy started looking for more therapeutic cures. Weighted blankets had proven to be an excellent non-medicinal way to assist with anxiety, night terrors, autism, panic attacks and so much more.

This gave Krissy the idea of making her own weighted blankets, but adding the personal touch of customized fabrics, patterns and weight for comfort.

While struggling with PTSD, and raising three young kids, Krissy has managed to expand her business from sensory items to customized drinkware, signage, handmade infant clothing, personalized shirts, onesies, socks, aprons and more.

Over the past two years, customers have asked if specific items such as weighted vests, eye masks, and driving lap pads could be made to help in their personal situations. Krissy is always happy to accept the challenge of customizing her products.
