Even though my little kids’ shoe store closed its doors back in February—and I’ve since moved on to a new chapter—I couldn’t let this season pass without saying thank you and sending all my love to the amazing families I had the honour of serving.

From first shoes to first school days, it meant the world to be part of your journey and to serve you all. 💛

Wishing your kiddos confidence, courage, and a whole lot of fun as they head back to class. Here’s to new beginnings—for all of us. ✨

Dear Friends and Valued Customers,

In 2013, I opened my little shoe store with hope and excitement as my son started kindergarten. Now, as he prepares to graduate high school, it feels like a full-circle moment—a bittersweet close to this chapter of my life.

These years have been a journey full of lessons, challenges, and incredible moments. There were many mistakes made and losses had. But there was also so much to be grateful for: amazing relationships formed, staff who became friends, and many, many charitable contributions that made a difference.

Failure is a strange thing. It’s far easier to dwell on what went wrong than to celebrate everything that went right. And yet, I know this store brought so much joy, connection, and meaning to my life and, I hope, to others as well.

Retail today is tough. Competing with my own suppliers going direct to consumers and giants like Amazon and even Tanger Outlet is nearly impossible. Then COVID came, and the hole it left was so deep it nearly swallowed me alive. After giving it everything I had, I’ve decided it’s time to close.

Our last day of operation will be in February. While I’m sad to say goodbye, I’m ready to move on and take a bit of a break and work on me for a while. I’ve experienced so much gratitude and love during this journey, but it’s time to move on now.

What’s next for me is a fresh start: time to focus on myself, rediscover my strength, my ability to do hard things, recover financially, and take on new challenges. And yes , IRONMAN IRONMAN Lake Placid, I’m finally coming back for you and that red carpet this summer. I dedicate the next 6 months to fulfilling this long time personal goal and being part of team Salty Bears.

Kiddie Kobbler St. Laurent and Kiddie Kobbler Orleans remain pillars in their community and will be kore than happy to service all my customers.
