Our local firefighters are always there when our community needs them. This Saturday, let’s show up for them!

If you’re out and about, stop by, say hello, and toss a few dollars in the boot if you can. Every little bit helps!

Keep an eye out for our Summerside Firefighters this weekend as they hit the streets for a Boot Drive for the Summerside Fire Fighter's Association! You can find them at Atlantic Superstore and the Butchers Shop from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 10th.

If you see them, stop by, say hello, and consider making a donation! Every contribution makes a difference! ❤️

We’ve been looking for another way to help out around our community, and this one seemed like a pretty easy one for us to get behind.

We’ve helped add four local collection spots to help support Coats for Kids Summerside, with everything collected going to their annual free winter clothing event Saturday, November 7 between 10AM - 2PM

A huge thank you to these businesses for stepping up:

Summerside Waterfront Cafe & Training Center
Bernard's Quik Mart & Laundromat

If you have a coat, hat, gloves or scarf sitting around that you no longer need, pass it along. Something sitting in your closet could make a big difference to someone else this winter.

We’ve really enjoyed getting out into the community more lately — meeting people, supporting local causes and just being part of what’s happening around us.

Today was a pretty good example of that!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us at the Scouts’ Giant Indoor Yard Sale. We got to press some shirts and hats right on the spot, met a bunch of great people, and had a fun time doing it!

A big thank you as well to the Scouts and everyone who helped put the sale together. We were happy to be there and support a good cause.

The more we get out there, the more we’re reminded of how many good people there are around us. Thanks for making us feel welcome wherever we pop up—we’re looking forward to doing more of it. 🌲⚓️

We’re setting up again this Saturday! 🌲⚓️

Wood & Anchor will be at the Scouts Giant Indoor Yard Sale at the Summerside Curling Club, and this one is for a great cause.

Admission is only $2, with proceeds helping support the Summerside Scouts, Cubs & Beavers.

We’ll have shirts, hoodies, hats, patches and more with us and……..we’ll also be pressing shirts and hoodies right there on site!

If you’re available Saturday, come check out the sale, stop by and say hi, and most importantly, help support a great local organization.

We’ve been keeping a little part of this quiet… until now.

Over the last week, students at Parkside Elementary School have been making thank-you cards for the volunteers who stepped up for our community.

Today we picked them up — and seeing them all together was pretty incredible.

We’ve also dropped off a little something for the volunteers who were nominated by members of the community, and now we’re waiting to meet with the Mayor to hand over all of the kids’ cards, along with the money raised from our hoodie auction.

A huge thank you to the teachers and staff at Parkside for helping make this happen, and especially to every student who took the time to make a card.

And to the parents — you should be incredibly proud of these kids. The kindness and thought they put into these cards says a lot about the young people growing up in our community.

Most importantly, thank you again to every volunteer.

Whether your name was nominated or not, your community saw what you did. The cards, letters and money raised are just our little way of making sure you know how much it was appreciated.

What started as a simple idea to say thank you turned into something much bigger than we expected.

Parkside — you guys knocked this one out of the park. ❤️

Looks like we’re hitting the road tomorrow! 🤘

We’ll be set up at the Summerside Craft Trail from 11–3, and we’re bringing the heat press with us.

Pick your shirt, pick your design, and we’ll press it for you right there on the spot.

We’re also gonna have a little giveaway going on!

Following up on our post yesterday, we wanted to turn that appreciation into something tangible.

We’re auctioning off a Wood & Anchor hoodie, with 100% of the winning bid going toward the volunteers helping with the Sunbank fire.

We’ve already made arrangements with Acting Mayor Cory Snow to personally hand over the proceeds when the auction is finished.

There’s been a lot said online about the Sunbank fire lately.

We’d like to add something — a thank you.

We’re going to auction off a Wood & Anchor hoodie over the next few days, with 100% of the winning bid going towards supporting the volunteers.

But we’re gonna need your help with something else too.

Tell us about someone who’s been showing up.

A firefighter. First Responder. A volunteer. Someone bringing food or supplies. Someone working behind the scenes who deserves a little recognition.

Tell us about them in the comments, or send us a private message if you’d rather keep their name out of the spotlight. We’d love to surprise these people with a little thank-you of our own.
