For the last number of years my daughter has been dealing with an ongoing chronic illness, and knitting is one of the things that necessarily has had to be set aside. Having a sick child at home takes time, love, and energy in unpredictable ways. Today she asked if I could rip this little toddler dress and reknit it into a sweater for her. She wears her handknits like armour, and I am happy to reclaim a favourite yarn for her.💜 This very simple dress was knit by me 15 years ago for my not-yet-born niece, and was worn to death by both her and my daughter (even though it fit them both poorly - haha). It will be good to play with some wool again.
