We are truly honoured to receive this heartfelt thank-you letter from BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre.

At Happy Family Baby Gift Store Ltd., giving back to families and children is at the heart of what we do. We are grateful to have been able to donate diapers and baby plush toys to support patients, families, and care teams during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Knowing that these donations help stock playrooms, therapy spaces, and shop-at-no-cost areas—while bringing comfort and joy to children and families—means more to us than words can express.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the incredible teams at BCCH and BC Women’s Hospital for the life-changing work they do every day, and for allowing us to be a small part of that mission.

“Shouldn’t all human beings have human rights?”

At six weeks, a heartbeat begins.

Not a theory. Not a belief.

A biological reality.

This image forces us to pause and ask a difficult question—not about politics, not about ideology—but about what we mean by “human.”

If human rights are universal, where do they begin?

At independence? At birth? Or at the first unmistakable sign of life?

Human rights were created to protect the vulnerable.
Those without power.

Those without a voice.
Discomfort does not invalidate existence.
Dependency does not erase humanity.
This is not a call for judgment.
It is a call for honesty.

For courage.
For a conversation we keep avoiding.
