Always a great event, Of the Vine will be at The Lido on October 17, 2026! There are only a few tickets left for a beautiful evening of w**e and food pairings, entertainment, prizes, silent auction and live auction items! All in support of the Fort St. John Association for Community Living and their programming supporting adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs in our community.

Lattitude 56 is a proud supporter of this event, and this year we’ve put together a Traveller’s Prize Pack!

We’ve included a cozy Sherpa-lined fleece photo blanket, featuring the Toad River to curl up with, a couple of Lattitude toques to keep you warm through the winter, some Alaska Highway-themed goodies and a couple of travel guides to help you dream up your next northern adventure. And last but not least, a $250 gift certificate to our Lattitude 56 shop in Taylor so you can pick out a new hoodie, some T-shirts or a favourite hat (or two!) to take along for the ride.

Everything you need to stay cozy this winter while you plan your next Alaska Highway adventure, and a little something to get you outfitted before you hit the road!

Breaking news…actually so last month’s news…Tetsa River Lodge is closed for the season. Sad to have to make a trip without getting a delicious cinnamon bun on the way through 😭

See you in the spring! Can’t wait 😋 and we’ll get a fresh batch of cinnamon bun Travelers Series hoodies done up too!

The Fort Nelson Visitor Centre began its Lattitude 56 Travelers Series journey last year with light-blue crewnecks. Now the line is expanding with maroon, green and blue hoodies and crewnecks, all with the Fort Nelson namedrop and Mile 300 emblazoned. We are excited to see more northern colour on display at Mile 300, waiting to travel with you on your adventures!

There’s also a selection of Lattitude hats, endless books, travel guides, puzzles, pottery (Dawn Gullackson Potter/Pottery/Potteryart/ Art), art prints and so much more in their beautiful gift shop!

So much fun was had at the Jail n Bail put on by the Fort St. John Association for Community Living, fundraising for their Thrive mental health program. Over $60,000 was raised which is an impressive number demonstrating once again how our community pulls together for a good cause. 🫠 Pops and I were able to make bail and then a little bit with help from all of you and we appreciate you. Thanks so much! 💕

And like any good escapees, the first thing we did was rush down to DQ for lunch and a sundae 😅 not go directly to the strategically parked getaway jeep. We’re lucky we didn’t get arrested again. 🤣
