I don’t know why sometimes I’m drawn to the hideous items.

This one definitely caught me off guard- I had an immediate reaction of both awe and distain, with neither emotion winning. So I decided that, for $2, I had to take it home and figure it out.

Turns out I had thrifted an amazing wool kilt yesterday and a calfskin leather hobo bag today, and both items sort of just perfectly complimented the shirt in a very unexpectedly cool way.

I should probably go further and add a belt and jewelry and my silver , but it was a long day at (it was half off day!) and at this point I’m exhausted.

Let me know if you like the outfit or if it’s too weird for your tastes. I know *I* enjoy it (which is what matters most!) but I’m definitely curious about your opinions.

Forget Barbie’s Dream House… check out Barbie’s Friend Ship! A private jet for and a few of her closest friends, complete with a closet full of fun clothes, a kitchen and lounge area, and her own pilot! (Not Ken though. She left him at home.)

REMEMBER FAIRY TAILS?? The long forgotten sister line to My Little Pony in the mid-late 1980s? I had one growing up- the yellow one. Since then, I’ve only found one other on eBay. Today I found my third, and she’s such a pretty version! I guess they had a few different styles- this one has a fuzzy stomach whereas the one I used to have was just plastic.

Just another step closer to buying back all the toys I used to own that I wish my parents didn’t give away. 🤓

It was raining so we went to Cobbletog_antiques in London, Ontario. There’s 10,000 square feet of space with a million and one fun things to search through. I found a toy from my childhood that Santa always forgot to leave me: one of the animals! These are pretty rare and I’ve been looking for one for years.

I think he has a promising career as a backup singer. Me? Not so much. 🤓

It’s an emergency situation in Northern Ontario with the wildfires, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. It’s scary that the fires are this close. It’s scary that it got hot enough to create the conditions for the fires. Climate change scares me, there’s no escape from it, which is even worse.

I hope the rain comes soon.

So this is where you can find me starting August 6th… I really can’t wait to have my items moved into Serendipity’s Closet so all of the beautiful items sitting in piles on my shelf can be admired and appreciated. :)

I’ll be down in London (Ontario) for the next three weeks visiting my parents, so I’ll be hitting the and showing you how that process works, plus the usual antique markets in the area. It’ll be interesting this time because I’ve never had to film content on these trips, but now I’m planning ahead and figuring out what might be interesting to capture. Let’s see how that goes- hopefully I remember! 😂

Anyways, signing off for a bit while I pack.

Big news! I’m going to finally have a rack at my friend Michelle’s shop (Serendipity’s Closet) in the Goods & Co building in downtown Port Arthur!

I’ve been wanting to be in that building for a while now, and I’m so excited to be starting this phase of the Forest Fox journey. 🦊

Stay tuned for a lil preview of where you’ll be able to find me- starting Aug 6th!
