Buttonhole coronnes, or Hedeborings (Hedebo embroidery is a type of white work, originating in Denmark) ... small circles of buttonhole stitch that sit atop your work, adding dimension. I did not have a traditional graduated Hedobo stick so I just used a plastic tube to wind my threads on.
The gold one was my first, worked according to a video I found, needle thread entering the buttonhole loop from behind. The silver was my second attempt, with needle thread passing through the loop from the front. I think it makes for a neater stitch.
Rings can be made larger, adding more rows of Buttonhole stitch, or joined together using Woven Picot stitches to make a wheel. Sew many possibilities!

This BOM challenge, started early in 2020, shall aptly be named "Wailin' W***y & Jack" due to the fact that there may have been some wailin' going on as I spent lots of time with Jack the Ripper arranging and rearranging these W***y-nilly from my large pile of PhD's.
Because the blocks are random, and there is no layout or pressing plan, some of the could not be nested or spun. 😕 I've learned sew much since then, I likely wouldn't do another BOM.

After testing both my Janome Continental M7 against my Pfaff Performance Icon, I can most definitely say: for the win!...

After testing both my Janome Continental M7 against my Pfaff Performance Icon, I can most definitely say: for the win! 👍👌
A LOT less work and a whole lot more FUN!
This machine is so intuitive! Not only are its settings easier to find and use, it's also Wi-Fi enabled to connect to my account on the web where I can store my designs and favorite stitch combinations in my vault.
Just look at that 10" tablet-like display screen, sew easy to navigate!
And may I say, as I've always said, 's built-in dual feed system ( ) is second to none! Better than any "walking foot" EVER. Janome can claim the best dual feed, with their numerous AcuFeed Flex feet, but the fact remains, one must install each of these with a screw driver, and in some cases change the needle plate as well. With Pfaff, all you do is raise or lower the IDT mechanism to connect with almost any of their snap-on feet as needed. Pure sewing joy! 👌
