🍂 Thanksgiving Weekend is here! 🦃

As we wrap up the week, we want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our customers, teams, schools, and local organizations who continue to support Daystar. We’re grateful to be part of such a great community and to do what we love every day!

Just a reminder that Daystar will be closed for the Thanksgiving long weekend and will reopen on Tuesday.

Wishing everyone a safe, relaxing, and happy Thanksgiving weekend filled with good food, family, friends, and plenty to be thankful for! 🍁

Why Do We Ask for Vector Artwork?

“Can you use this JPG?” 👀

Sometimes yes—but vector artwork is often the better starting point.

Vector files are made from paths rather than pixels, which means they can be resized without becoming blurry or pixelated.

That makes them especially useful when preparing artwork for embroidery, heat transfers, screen printing, and promotional products.

September 30th is Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It’s a time to remember the children who never returned home and to honour Survivors and their families. Reconciliation is rooted in the courage to listen, the humility to acknowledge past and ongoing harms, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the truth while confronting denialism in all forms. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples today and every day, committing ourselves to the essential, ongoing work of truth-telling and meaningful reconciliation. 🧡


Le 30 septembre, nous soulignons la Journée du chandail orange et la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation. C’est l’occasion d’honorer la mémoire des enfants qui ne sont jamais revenus chez eux et de rendre hommage aux survivants et à leurs proches. La réconciliation repose sur le courage de l’écoute, l’humilité de reconnaître les torts d’hier et d’aujourd’hui, ainsi qu’une volonté ferme de faire valoir la vérité tout en dénonçant le dénialisme sous toutes ses formes. Why can my logo look different in embroidery?

It’s not your eyes—we promise! 😂

Embroidery turns artwork into stitches, so some tiny details, thin lines, and very small text may need to be simplified or adjusted.

The goal isn’t to change your logo—it’s to make sure it translates well from screen to thread.

Good embroidery starts with good digitizing.
