My husband & I have been working on something since last year and we thought it would be perfect to announce today since today is International Mother Language Day! ๐
Being a Guyanese-Canadian married to a Bangladeshi, I started learning Bangla. After having our son two years ago and raising him in North America, it became challenging to teach him Bangla as there were hardly any resources available. We tried looking for educational books and toys to teach our little one but couldn't find any that catered to non-Bengali speakers.
We took it upon ourselves to create our own educational toys and learning material for our son.
We realized that there are many other intercultural families like us around the world, so we took the initiative to make this available for everyone. And that's how Bangla Baby was born! ๐
What's to come:
๐ง๐ฉ Bangladeshi inspired books & toys for your little ones to learn Bangla language, culture, & heritage through practice & play!
