Esther Slevinsky is a multidisciplinary artist based in Waterloo, Ontario. Her work explores our complex relationship with food and its many roles, including celebration, comfort, nourishment, love, cultural reflection, luxury, and waste. Inspired by Medieval painting, Esther incorporates its unique sense of depth, featuring oddly spaced objects and tipped surfaces that invite viewers into her richly layered compositions.

As art lovers, we continue to be inspired by Canada’s beauty and the art it nurtures. This , we’re proud to feature Alexandra McLaughlin, a self-taught painter whose work reflects her lifelong connection to Georgian Bay.

A childhood spent exploring the rocks, swimming off the dock, and boating through the world’s largest freshwater archipelago fostered a deep bond with the place that would become her muse.
