Yes skin nourishment and it is very important, not just for preventing stretch marks which is in no way vanity, it’s self love. Because stretch marks can happen even if you slather on 10 products, self love means that if they do happen, you will continue lovingly care for your body and possibly even see them a da source of pride of what your body accomplished.

I remember being a new mom and being horrified by the peeling skin, raw creases, rashes shifting daily and that hideous cradle cap!

Are you in the middle of it now?

This is not a baby with skin disease. This peeling, rashes, raw creases are normal and expected.

Baby skin is still developing in the early months postpartum and acts more like a mucous membrane than full skin. This is why we need to be so careful with what is used on baby skin, because it is much more absorbent than the skin of an adult.

Baby skin doesn’t only need protection. It also needs nourishment and the right building blocks to build healthy skin. This is why traditional lotions don’t do the job. Rich emollients is what baby skin craves and what keeps it from showing these issues.

Our butters are made of 100% organic, deeply nourishing emollients. Everything baby skin needs and nothing it doesn’t.

Ours is formulated for skin.

That is why we make fresh batches every month.

The botanical oils, butters, and aromatics we use are living materials. Over time, exposure to oxygen, light, and heat gradually changes them. Carrier oils oxidize. Essential oils oxidize too, altering their aroma, reducing their effectiveness, and increasing the risk of irritation for sensitive skin.

When you’re formulating for babies, mothers, and people with reactive skin, those details matter.

Small-batch production allows us to deliver our products closer to the state they were intended to be used in: fresh, active, and true to the formula we created.

Could we manufacture six months or a year’s worth at a time?

Of course.

But that would require us to formulate for warehouses, shipping containers, and long-term storage.

We choose to formulate for the family using the product instead.
