Earlier this month, we hosted our first Influencer Evening. A huge thank you to our panelists, Parmis Najmi, Kiana Kouchakan, Olivia Bedzieszak, Erika Yuen and Victoria Cheung for sharing their stories and advice! Shoutout to our amazing moderators - Megan Chong and Kayla Shiru Zhang✨

Jennie Kim, a famous pop singer in the Korean girl group Blackpink, has garnered immense recognition for her sense of style and ability to effortlessly turn any casual outfit into a trend. Today, she has made a significant influence in not only the K-pop Fashion Industry, but also in the East Asian fashion. Her simple yet classy style allowed her to become a trendsetter on social media. One of her most famous looks was her from the Chanel Paris Fashion Week 2019, which popularised Bow Tie Tops. In 2017, she became a global ambassador for Chanel. As one of the main faces of the luxury brand, she is frequently seen wearing the brand from head to toe. Much so that her fans often refer to her as the “Human Chanel”.

In her personal life, Jennie often incorporates elegance into her casual and comfy style. In many other cases, she likes to switch things up with street wear which is heavily inspired by the western fashion trends. Despite the simplicity in her casual wear, Jennie always finds a way to turn those outfits into eye-catching trends. This is due to her way of utilizing various accessories, unique hairstyles, and makeup to add to the appeal of the outfit. Some of her favourite brands include Jacquemus, Marine Serre, Alaïa, Alexander Wang, Gentle Monster, and Self Portrait.

On stage, Jennie often wears Chanel outfits to promote the brand. Her outfits consist of Classic Chanel Attire including tweeded blazer sets, the Chanel bow ribbons, and anything displaying the brand's logo. K-pop has its own style ranging from street wear to soft aesthetics. Jennie plays a significant role in promoting these styles through her performance outfits, while maintaining her casual style outside of K-pop.
