We just completed our fiscal year on July 31st 🎉

The past year was another year of double digit growth, record breaking months, full hospital implementations, more travel than ever before.

Why do we get excited about this? Sure, higher revenue and increased profitability feels good, but it’s the WHY that makes it exciting for us.

Our growth highlights that we are continuing down the path of changing the standard of skin-to-skin care and remain a leader in the maternal & newborn health device category. Which means, babies across North America, and the world, are getting healthier starts with their families.

To the consultants and advisors we work with weekly; you’re a powerhouse team and we’re so deeply grateful.

It can look like uninterrupted skin-to-skin. It can look like personalized at-home care. It can look like reassurance, simple tools, and someone reminding you that you’re doing better than you think.

In light of , we wanted to share this interesting study that we came cross: What if human breasts evolved for more than milk production?

A recent study explored whether lactating breasts may help support infant thermoregulation. Using thermal imaging, researchers found that lactating breast tissue remained warmer and showed greater resistance to cooling, suggesting it may play a role in helping infants maintain thermal balance.

The findings offer a fascinating glimpse into the complex physiological adaptations that occur during lactation, and the many ways the body supports infant development beyond nutrition alone.

Skin-to-skin is a family affair!

These beautiful photos were shared with us by a proud grandmother who works in women’s health, and whose daughter-in-law is passionate about C-section practices including skin-to-skin in the operating room (OR).

Although the mother, Kaitlyn, was unfortunately unable to have skin-to-skin in the OR, she did use the Joeyband in the postpartum recovery unit with baby Tommy! Dad Thomas, was getting lots of skin-to-skin, too 🤍

We’re thrilled to share the overwhelming response to Canada’s first Kangaroo-A-Thon! Led by Canadian Premature Babies Foundation, this initiative emphasized the extraordinary impact of skin-to-skin for premature and medically fragile babies.

Winners were determined by the highest average daily skin-to-skin care provided to eligible babies.

Thank you to everyone involved for supporting NICU babies and NICU families. Here’s to the continued adoption of skin-to-skin!
