Opened in 2001 by collector Kate Eisen and joined by artist and designer, Julie Jenkinson in 2010. OCAD University shares a very deep connection with Blair Drawson, bridging both his early foundations and his later career.
A Student: Between 1963 and 1967, Drawson studied drawing and painting at the institution when it was known as the Ontario College of Art (OCA)

He is celebrated as one of North America’s most notable editorial illustrators. His unique, surreal, and sometimes playfully mischievous artwork has been featured in major international publications like The New Yorker, Time, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times Magazine.
