Ian Drummond Collection Vintage Clothing, Accessories and Textiles for Film/TV Rental. For sales info, follow Ian Drummond Vintage. The collection is available by appointment.

Ian Drummond has amassed a collection of vintage clothing, footwear, accessories, textiles and ephemera over 30 years. Much of it is dedicated toward rental via the Ian Drummond Collection to film, television, theatre productions, and print publications. The collection runs the gamut from period historical clothing, with a strong focus on the 1920s-1990s and comprises everything from broken-down i

tems for characters to the most elegant dress. The rest of the collection finds itself available through Ian Drummond Vintage:

..and at clothing shows in Toronto and nearby areas. In those we offer a wider variety of fashion-related items, such as tear sheets from vintage fashion magazines suitable for framing, jewellery, sewing patterns, vintage textiles such as blankets, fine linens, curtains and sewing fabric, and anything that's worth passing along to other fans of vintage fashion.

Are you as excited as we are that it’s Teenage S*x and Death at Camp Miasma release Day???

Costume designer Kendra Trepanning joined us in the studio recently to talk about the choices she made for the movie. Kendra rented a number of beautiful vintage pieces from us for Gillian Anderson’s character Billy.

Big thanks to Kendra for both renting from us and for doing this video.
Congratulations to the whole team on the movie!

P.S. we will have a longer version of this talk available next week!

We have menswear from every decade of the 20th century in our collection. Tzevi Sherman modelled these looks for us based off famous guitarists from the 1930s-1980s. We think he looks damn good! 🎸

Inspiration:
1920s/30s- Robert Johnson
1940s- Django Reinhardt
1950s- Chuck Berry
1960s- The Surfaris’ Jim Fuller (we substituted the jacket for a cardigan)
1970s- Carlos Santana
1980s- Eric Clapton

We’re so thrilled to see the first images from Being Heumann, a biopic of disability rights campaigner Judith Heumann’s life. We spotted these two 1970s pieces from our collection (a velour track jacket and a plaid shirt) in the first look images posted by on Monday.

Being Heumann will have its premiere at TIFF opening night in September followed by a select theatre release and then streaming on in November.

Vintage sewing pattern books are some of the best references we have when researching what real people wore in different decades. Here are a few examples from our collection by the big pattern power houses Simplicity, Vogue, Buttericks and McCall’s (we have many more on our shelves)!
We also have an extensive collection of sewing patterns available for sale. There are over 600 currently on our Etsy store, and many more boxes in the studio which are not yet online. These resources are invaluable to costume teams and available for your film project at the Ian Drummond Collection! 🧵🪡
