Thanks Nicole for taking the time to write this review on Google: "We have a bilingual household and I am always looking for toys and books for toddler age that can connect Hindi and English. This set is perfect! We purchased the trio bundle of the my first words board book, stacking blocks, and puzzles. The board book is of good quality and holds up to my 2 year old reading by themselves. The stacking blocks/boxes are nice and lightweight. We did end up putting tape on the smallest block because that one just had paper glued on but the rest can't be pulled at. We haven't taken out the puzzle yet but it looks very cute and comes with a box to store it in. We can't wait for them to come out with more toys and books."

One of the easiest (and most special) ways to teach your children their mother tongue --> drop them at their grandma's house! 😉😂

I feel so blessed to have both sets of parents nearby 👵👴. When my kids spend time with them, they naturally start speaking more Gujarati – whether it’s listening to stories, singing songs, or playing traditional games like "adko dadko" and "thappo". It's amazing to see them learn and connect with our language and culture in ways I may have forgotten. The bond they share is priceless 💕

✨ I absolutely love this quote, because it resonates with me on so many different levels, and one of my main beliefs behind starting Bright Bandar Co.!

Before I go into the details, save this post to remind yourself why you are raising a bilingual child! 💪

👉 When it comes to language, we are always striving for knowledge, not perfection!

Out of all the benefits listed, for our family, "increased cognitive ability" and "closer family relationships" currently top the list! 💕

🌟 Like every other parent, I want to give my kids the best start in life, and one of the ways I do so is by promoting speaking Gujarati at home because bilingualism has been linked to many health and mental benefits. I also hope that being able to communicate in two languages also makes it easier for them to learn more languages in the future (they are starting to understand Hindi and learning French in school) and opens up more opportunities. 💪

🌟 I also love that my kids can communicate in their mother tongue and connect so well with our extended family. Although my kids don't always respond back in Gujarati, they are still able to understand the language, respond to questions (in English 😅), and laugh at any jokes! Its been hard to get them to actually speak sentences and respond back in Gujarati (thanks daycare/school) but we continue to encourage them and have seen some progress. 🥰

Teaching a second language may seem like a daunting task, so here are some simple tips to add to your daily routine! 💫

✨ The main thing is to be consistent (make the conscious effort to speak the language daily) and be patient (as you may face push-back from your child).
✨ Offer lots of encouragement and praise whenever the child attempts to speak the language and continuously expose him/her to grandparents or other family members who speak the language (in case you don't).
✨ There are so many songs and stories available on Youtube as well - make use of these online resources!
✨ Try to make language learning a game, so that it's fun for everyone!
