🌊 World Oceans Day
The ocean does far more than give us beautiful beaches and summer memories.
It produces at least 50% of the oxygen we breathe, absorbs about 30% of global CO₂ emissions, and has taken in 90% of the excess heat generated by climate change. In many ways, it’s the planet’s life support system.
Yet every year, an estimated 8 million tonnes of plastic enter our oceans. Plastic now makes up roughly 80% of marine pollution, affecting more than 800 marine species, from sea turtles and seabirds to whales and dolphins.
The challenge can feel overwhelming, but meaningful change often starts with everyday choices:
✓ Reuse more.
✓ Waste less.
✓ Choose products designed to last.
✓ Think beyond convenience.
Because protecting our oceans isn’t just about what happens on the shoreline. It’s about the decisions we make every day.
This World Oceans Day, let’s remember: every small action creates a ripple. 🌎💙
