I'm very happy to finally be able to present an animation we did at Polyester for TIFF (the International cinema festival in Toronto). The part I designed and animated goes from the minute 00:21 to 00:38.

I scanned a bunch of textures from various magazines to a very high resolution so I would get the printing half tones. In also moved the magazines along with the scanner, so I would get cool and weird, distorted textures, that I later used in the animation. A very fun and interesting process for sure!

Here's an animation I did last year. The cool thing about it is that I had some time to rig the characters, so I was able to make some interesting back end with lots of expressions. Especially the main character, who's two guys in one, was a bit of a mind bender to set and animate. But overall it was pretty fun for such a corporate subject and a dry script. :p

I've been trying lately to put together a new reel, since my previous one is turning 4 years old soon. It's something I've been trying to do for a couple of years now, but the process it's been super tedious. Considering I've worked in over 150 projects in the last 4 years and the reel would be around 1 minute long, it's not easy to choose what should go in and what should be left out! Anyways, I really hope I'll have a new reel out in the early fall, finally!

Here's a pretty cool animation we did at Polyester for the TIFF festival. I designed and animated the first 27 seconds. Truly an inspiring and awesome project, with some really good insight of what "Canada" is and means.
