As my 40th birthday draws near, I can’t help but think back on the amazing path that has brought me to this momentous occasion. One thing has stayed constant despite all the ups and downs, turns and turns—God’s unfailing goodness. As i approach the start of a new decade, I pause to give thanks for all the benefits I have received. Even though my life hasn’t turned out exactly like I had planned, it has nevertheless been a mosaic of development, resiliency, and lessons discovered. The difficulties I have encountered and surmounted have shaped who I am now. I acknowledge with appreciation the strands of grace interwoven across each of my story’s chapters. Whether during times of victory or in the face of trials, God’s grace has been my guiding light offering strenght,solace and incredible tenacity to weave through the threads of life.
And as I step into the fourth floor of my existence I remain extremely grateful for family, for friends for a community of people who have become my village and have helped shaped me into the woman I have become.
I am grateful for every experience and for the possibilities of an even better journey ahead.
